About Us

Troop 92 was founded in 1949 in Northridge, California. It's current sponsor is the generous VFW Post 2323. We are a relatively small troop that is led primarily by the scouts. Although our trips are not as expensive as other troops, we sure do have quite a bit of fun on them. Our troop has made quite an impact in the district, winning multiple awards on district, council, and even national level. The troop is regarded as one of the better troops in the district due to the fact that we always have fun, but also learn valuable life skills. As our scouts climb their way through the ranks from scout to eagle, they encounter many difficulties and challenges; This is why we are here. We assist our scouts in overcoming obsticales they may face on their path to eagle.

Troop 92 is a troop that loves the outdoors. We normally have a campout each month, do hikes and backpacking, and even occasionally events like geocaching and orienteering. We enjoy going to places like Malibu Creek, Table Mountain, Mt. PiƱos, and many others. For summer camp, our scouts especially enjoy emerald bay and camp whitsett. Although a bit pricy, they make us set a goal for ourselves to achieve as a troop and help us build management skills. If you ever have an interest in joining our troop, feel free to attend one of our meetings or contact our scoutmaster.
